Reflections - #1 Story for AAWC

Hi everyone!:)

If I haven't said anything about it, I am now, but I am participating in Misty's writing camp Aspiring Authors Writing Challenge!:D I am Team Pegasus and I used the team mascot in my story.:)

 

My fingers brushed against the mirror, leaving a smudge on the cold glass. I stared at the girl I was, unhappy with who I saw. My eyes wandered to my desk and the girl in the photograph, dark brown hair and glittering blue eyes filled with love, hope...happiness.

When I was young. When I hadn't been broken.

The girl in the picture was so different. She wore a shirt with Pegasus decorated on it, her smile was wide, showing shiny braces. The sun streaming from the back framed the picture with added joy, a thing I hadn't felt for years.

I tore my eyes away from the picture of who I used to be, pain aching in my heart as memories flooded over me. Looking back at my reflection, I sighed. Now my hair was almost black, my braces gone, my bright blue eyes faded to a dull gray. My cheeks were pale and unmarked from lack of sun and lack of smiling.

I hated it. I hated my reflection.

It only mirrored my deep pain, deep longing to undo the past. But the sorrow had taken its toll, destroying any happiness and innocence. I grimaced at the reflection while I reflected on my cold, broken heart.

Those who are heartless once cared too much.

I hope you enjoyed the short story, usually I like to make my stories to have a plot, but every once in a while I'll make a story like this one that doesn't have a "conflict".;)

 

Okay, I know that everyone is super excited because TFA just came out yesterday on DVD, and some might also be thrilled for the The Phantom Menace tsum tsums that were also released yesterday, but something Star Wars is coming tomorrow. And it's HUGE.

Has anyone heard of Rogue One yet?

It is going to be the first stand alone Star Wars film to come out. It's coming out this year around Christmas time, like TFA did last year.

...

The first trailer is COMING OUT TOMORROW. Everyone, this is insane. I am so excited, I can't contain all of this new Star Wars excitment. GAH!!!!

This is a screenshot I took today from the super short sneak peek of the trailer-

I don't know why it's squeezed together, but it's a new kind of stormtrooper and there's something on fire in the background! I AM SO EXCITED!!!XD

I might be making a post about the trailer tomorrow, talking about highlights and possibilities and just exciting things, so look out for that tomorrow!XD

Is anyone excited for Rogue One?

In Celebration of THE Most Exciting Day Ever

Hi everyone!

If you have no idea what today is, then you are not aware that TODAY IS THE DAY THAT THE FORCE AWAKENS COMES OUT ON DVD WITH DELETED SCENES, AN HOUR LONG DOCUMENTARY ON THE MAKING OF THE MOVIE, AND POSSIBLY BLOOPERS (I have no idea.)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now that I got that scream rant out, I am celebrating with two all new TFA drawings!:D

Rey and BB-8! Her outfit was so fun to draw!:) 

This was just a different angle on the drawing.;)

And now this drawing I did of Kylo Ren looking at the Darth Vader mask... He was so fun to shade, like I can't even.XD

 

I just can not wait to buy the movie today and watch it!:D 

With my Kylo Ren/The First Order blanket and Build-A-Bear. Oh yeah.XD

Tea and a Read and Some Other Things! - March Edition

Hi everyone!:)

I am here with my monthly "Tea and Whatever Else I Do While I Drink Said Tea"! LOL! This month I am reading!:)

What I'm Drinking:

Trader Joe's Blackberry Fruit Infusion Tea! It's so good and for some reason the smell reminds me of fruit filled donuts!;D It's one of my new favorite teas!:)

What I'm Reading:

C.S. Lewis' The Screwtape Letters. I've been wanting to read this book for forever, then I asked my mom if we had it and she got it for me from one of our many, many bookshelves!;)

This book is the combined letters of a demon named Screwtape to his nephew, Wormwood. It's a Christian book. The letters are on multiple different subjects teaching Wormwood how to deceive Christians and it's very eye opening. You sort of read it in vice versa, where he is teaching his nephew the tricks of tricking humans, so you learn their ways and how to be careful not to be deceived. I would say that the book is for teens and adults since some subjects are for adults.

I've found some really good quotes and have written some down such as the following: 

 

I love those!:) The Enemy is Jesus/God since the letters are from a demon.;)

That finishes up the Tea and a Read!:)

Now onto other news!

I got a new Disney Infinity Figure, actually two! Obi-Wan Kenobi and Boba Fett!:D

ZOOTOPIA!!!

Hi everyone!

Who's watched Zootopia?
I have!

And it. is. amazing.

I died. I got feels. I loved it.

And since I died, felt, and loved, I had to draw a ton.XD So, I present to you three of my drawings-

Nick and Judy! GAH! I just want to watch Zootopia again!XD I drew this picture for Jaclynn, my best friend, since she is also in love with Zootopia!:D

This was my first drawing!:) The animation for Zootopia was amazing, I loved their eyes especially, they were just so round.OuO 

And my last drawing, a selfie of them! I love Judy in this one, she looks more realistic than Nick, but I found out something that made him look not as true to his character. Of course, it was after I had penned it in and was coloring.XD

Glazed Part Twenty-Two

Hi everyone!
Yay for Glazed! I finished the drawing for this part last night and was so excited to post it! YAY FOR SCARY THINGS!XD

 

Emma's horse pushed through the sprinkles that covered the ground. Emma was a little unnerved by the sprinkles everywhere, but she tried not to think about it. What did they mean? It wasn't a normal thing that happened in nature, it must be connected to Jaclynn's magic, but why would she make the weather do this? She shook her head, trying to clear away the peculiar thoughts and focused on finding Jaclynn.

“JACLYNN!” Emma shouted to the forest, “Jaclynn, it's me, Emma, your best friend. Or at least, I think we're still best friends. I mean, you just kind of kept the biggest secret of your life away from me and I don't know how we stand...” Emma trailed off, “This is all my fault,” She whispered to herself. Jaclynn wasn't out there. She wouldn't be able to hear her. She wandered hopelessly deeper into the forest, where the trees were thickly coated with sprinkles. The horse brushed up against a tree subconsciously and the sprinkles hanging precariously on the branches came crashing down on the horse's rear. Spooked, the horse bucked and threw Emma into a pile of sprinkles that were unnaturally cold. And sticky. The horse bolted up the trail and was gone within seconds.

“WAIT!” Emma screamed, but the horse had disappeared. Emma glanced down at the gooey mess she was in. The sprinkles were covered in a web-like material and Emma stared at it, her brows furrowing as she gazed at the webs. She felt an itch on her shin that was deep inside whatever she was in and she raised her eyebrows.

What had she fallen into?

She struggled to get out of the hole, when hundreds of little brown spiders scurried from the depths of the nest she had been dropped into.

“AHHHHH!!!” Emma shrieked and she pushed herself out of the hole, but she still felt the spiders crawling on her. Screaming, she batted frantically at herself and shook her head as she tried desperately to get the insects off of her. She swiped her arms to get rid of any that were crawling on her and she rustled her dress. Once she had gotten rid of all the bugs she could find, she stared curiously at the nest, from a safe distance away. She didn't know that spiders stayed in nests. But these were chocolate spiders, different from the regular spiders that often roam the earth. Chocolate spiders stayed together always and had large holes in the earth where they all lived.

Emma walked away, still feeling like they were on her. She sighed as she looked at her dress, it was sticky and had the stains of crushed chocolate spiders stuck on it. Shivering, she drew her cloak around her bare shoulders and staggered away.

*shivers*

Yep. Spiders. That all travel together. IN HERDS. So, that would mean if you found a spider in your room, all of the spiders are in your room.

It's enough to give you nightmares. LOL!
