He is the best!:D

Bedtime Book Tag!

Hi everyone!
I was nominated for this tag by Kathryn, and I am so excited to do this! It looked so fun and I loved her post, so here it is!:D

1. A Book That Kept You Up All Night-
KEEPER OF THE LOST CITIES! Those books would always make me really upset when I had to go to sleep. I am SO EXCITED FOR THE NEXT KEEPER TO COME OUT IN NOVEMBER!!! IT'S SO CLOSE!!!!

2. A Book That Made You Scared To Sleep
Hm, I really don't read a lot of scary books, but I do remember one night I was reading the first book in The Seven Wonders series for the first time and I was already anxious so I became worried that what was happening to Jack would happen to me since he had just turned 13 and I had just turned 13 at that time.;) But I love that series now. I AM ALSO VERY VERY EXCITED FOR THE RELEASE OF THE NEXT BOOK FOR THAT SERIES TOO!!!

3. A Book That Made You Go To Sleep
Hmmmm, usually if there are books that are THAT boring, I end up not reading it...Lemme go look at my book cases and see! BRB!;)

Okay, I'm back and I have three books that I was too bored to finish reading-

Theater Shoes by Noel  Streatfield
I was so bored when I began this book, I got to page four and couldn't continue! LOL!

Johnny Tremain by Esther Forbes
I couldn't finish this book either. Really, some historical books are just SO boring (but I do love exciting historical fiction)! They get so bogged down with the details that I feel like there isn't a plot! You all will think I'm crazy, but I really can't read any classics!

OH MY GOSH!!!! FORGET ALL OF THOSE BOOKS I JUST LISTED!!! THEY ARE THE BEST BOOKS IN COMPARISON TO TREASURE ISLAND.
WORSE BOOK EVER!!!!!!
I absolutely DETEST that book. I can't believe I even finished it! It was so boring it took me a couple weeks to finish! UGH!

4. A Book That Left You Tossing And Turning All Night In Anticipation Of It's Release
Keeper! SO KEEPER! But, if I have to say a new book each time, then I would say....
Story's End by Marissa Burt. When I read the first book in the sequel, I was dying to read the second one!:D

5. A Book That Has Your Dream Boyfriend/Girlfriend
*sigh* This is Keeper again.
I WILL MARRY FITZ!!!!XD LOL!
He's so perfect and just all around AMAZING!!!! But I would totally date...OH MY GOSH I CAN'T REMEMBER HIS NAME! OH! KEEFE! Oh my gosh, that was so weird. I couldn't remember his name for so long! I feel so bad!XD
But yeah, Keefe and Fitz. I tell the book covers how gorgeous they are. I think I might have a problem.....;)

6. A Book That Would Be Your Worse Nightmare To Live in
I had to think about this for a bit, but I decided on Inkheart by Cornelia Funke. Probably because the author inside of the book got to meet the terrible villain that he had created and how he was so terrified. And just seriously CAPRICORN IS SO SCARY! I really wouldn't want to meet him!
(Also, that book is one of THE best books and I recommend it if you don't mind a ton of swearing. Really, I don't know why people have to add a swear word to every page! AND TO A CHILDREN'S BOOK!)

7. A Book That Reminds You Of Night Time
I'm going to have to say Pegasus by Kate O'Hearn just because the cover was painted to look like night time.:)

8. A Book That Had A Nightmarish Cliffhanger
Uhhhh, I feel like a lot of the books I read don't have that great of cliff hangers. I'm going to have to consult my book cases again...Enthschuldigung...(German for excuse me.;))

Okay, so I didn't find a lot of books with epic cliffhangers, but I remember that the Half Upon A Time series had some good ones!:)

 9. A Book That You Actually Dreamed About
Hm, I can't recall dreaming about a book (yeah, I'm boring, sorry:/). I'm more of the person to dream about shows, for instance, Sherlock has come into my dreams many times!;)
But I have daydreamed about books a lot before, like myself being characters in books.;)

10. A Book Monster You Wouldn't Want Want To Find Under Your Bed-
There are so many creepy monsters in the book universe, but I think that waking up with a Bog Noblin under your bed would be TERRIFYING! Bog Noblins are from the book The Luck Uglies by Paul Durham. I really want the next book in that series!:)

Well, that's it! That was super fun and I really loved making this post! I can get really crazy about books. Especially one in particular...hehe!;)

I tag anyone who loves historical fiction books!:D

A Sneak Peek at Glazed

Hi everyone!
In one of my recent posts, I told you all about my sort of fan fiction about Frozen, if you don't remember that, go to THIS POST!:) I have named it "Glazed" since Jaclynn/Dee has Donut powers, it just seemed right.;)
Here is an excerpt from the book. This is the first draft everyone, so things are a little rusty and may not stay exactly like this, but I thought that you would like it regardless.;)

***
Jaclynn sat hunched over on her window seat, her little fingers wrapped around her knees. She watched as a brown chunky carriage crawled towards the gates of the castle. Jaclynn sighed as she thought of what that carriage contained. Summer was about to start and the weather was already heating up. Sunlight streamed through the glazed glass window and sprinkles of light were scattered on the rainbow floor. Jaclynn groaned as she looked out at the carriage and saw it paused at the gates.
Why does my summer have to be ruined? Jaclynn thought to herself. A servant scampered by her door and peeked her head inside.
“Your Highness, come along to meet Princess Emma at the gates. Do hurry, Princess!” The servant said and Jaclynn sighed and slunk towards the door. She followed the servant through the castle and out to the gates. Her parents, the King and Queen of Donuts, stood waiting for her. They were dressed in their most regal attire, long, blue and orange capes dripping with glaze and sprinkles and large pastel donut crowns topped their heads. Jaclynn herself had her own donut dress, it had a yellow top with teal cuffs and the skirt was made of pink and blue sprinkles. She had on her light pink tights and blue flats. And, like her mother and father, she had her own Donut crest necklace hanging from a piece of gold string. No one thought anything of their outfits, for this was normal in Dack-A-Woodle-World, the world they lived in.
They stood at attention as the cookie carriage rolled towards them. It stopped so close to them that Jaclynn could really see the details of this cookie carriage. The walls were made out of hardened cookie crumbs, the trim was chocolate, and the top was a huge chocolate chip. The footmen, wearing chocolate colored suits, opened the doors and Jaclynn held her breath. The King and Queen of Cookies were the first to come out of the carriage. They were followed by a girl who seemed to be twelve and she was trailed by a small girl only a couple years younger than Jaclynn herself. The royal Cookie family stood tall and a servant announced the Cookies to the Donuts.
“Their Highnesses, King and Queen of Cookies, with their daughters Princess Kendra and Princess Emma.” The two families bowed to the other, then the adults joined together and conversed. Jaclynn slipped towards the two princesses and bobbed a curtsy.
“Hello,” Jaclynn greeted.
“Hello,” they echoed.
They waited in an awkward silence until Princess Emma said, “I like your hair.”
Jaclynn glanced up at her mop of foofy brown curls, which had blue sprinkles scattered in them, and nodded her head.
“Thank you,” Jaclynn's eyes wandered to Princess Emma's own bright blonde hair and took in her humble dress. Jaclynn was surprised to see how simple it was. Emma's parents were dressed in their own fancy brown garb varying in shades, even her sister had her long, ornate purple dress with deep violet chocolate chips embedded in the skirt, but Emma only had a tan shift that came to her calves and a cookie pendant tied around her throat.
They fell back into an uncomfortable silence when the King of Cookies came to the children with a smile on his face.
“It's all settled now! Emma is to stay here with the Donuts for the summer.”
Jaclynn deflated at his words. She knew it was going to happen, but she had some hope still. But no. Her summer was officially ruined.

I hope you liked the little part. This bit isn't very much based off of Frozen since I am establishing things that are unique to this story and not exactly like Frozen.;)

Right now, in Glazed I am at the part where Jaclynn runs away at the coronation! It's very exciting.;) I can't wait to see what's going to happen.;)

ALSO! Yesterday, I drew Jaclynn and myself as Snowgies from Frozen Fever!;) Look!:D

If it's hard to tell, I'm the Cookie Snowgie, and she is the Donut Snowgie.;)

Have a nice day!:D

Some Drawings + Summer Reading Challenge, How Many Did I Read?

Hi everyone!
IT'S THE FIRST DAY OF FALL! I'M SO EXCITED!:D

Here are some pictures I drew of Frozen-
This is Anna, if you can't tell!;) The lighting was funky when I took the pictures, so the drawing looks kind of weird.;)
Now a picture from Frozen Fever! I just recently got the movie Cinderella so I could take pictures from it and Frozen Fever. WHICH MEANS FROZEN FEVER DRAWINGS!;) This is the first one so far, but I'm sure there will be a ton more coming!;)

Now, I really like to draw pictures of me and my best friend doing different things, in the one below we are in Paris, France, going to go see the Eiffel Tower.:)

And here we are playing in the snow! I really love this picture.:D

Now, earlier, I had told all of you that I had the goal to read 40 books by the end of the summer. I didn't make it to 40 books, but I did read 22 books! I'm really happy about that, even though it's only halfway to my goal.;)
HAPPY FALL!XD

Tea and Writing

Hi everyone!
The amazing Kathryn at her fanastic blog, In the Depths of Dreams, made a really fun post called Tea and a Read. I really enjoyed it and she challenged us to make a post about what we are drinking and reading. Well. I didn't feel like reading tonight, but I did feel like writing! So I am composing this post to tell all of you what I am drinking and writing!:D
What I am drinking-
The Harvest Blend Herbal Tea from Trader Joe's! Fall is right around the corner (which means my summer reading challenge is over too! Guess how many books, in the comments below, I was able to finish!:D) and that means PUMPKIN EVERYTHING!! Trader Joe's has brought in all of their new pumpkin flavored food, which means that I practically eat pumpkin in every meal! I was inspired by Kathryn and the approaching season to drink this yummy fall flavored tea!;)

What I am writing-
Hehe! What I am writing is almost a sort of fan fiction based off of the plot of Frozen, but using different characters...more specifically, I am using myself as Anna and my best friend as Elsa.
If you know me and my best friend, then you know we have nicknames for each other (Cookie and Dee, I'm Cookie, she's Dee), we pretend that we are desserts and for this story I am a Cookie princess and she is the princess of Donuts, she has donut powers and the story goes almost exactly like Frozen does, but it's all food. It's sort of hard to explain over a post.;)
So that's why I have the script of Frozen in the picture. I need it sometimes to remember how certain people say certain things.;)

I hope you enjoyed this post and have a great rest of the night!:D

What's in my Bag?

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't been posting recently, I didn't really know what to post, but now I have some ideas.;)

One of my ideas is to show you all what I keep in my purse.:) I've heard that you can learn a lot by what a girl has in her purse, so learn away!;P
This is what is currently in my purse-
Pictured----
 o a book, Waggit's Tale o
o my glasses, in case my eyes freak out ;) o
o a pack of markers o
o my wallet o
o lotion, Twilight Berry o
o lip balms, including my new favorite, EOS (it's amazing)! It's the egg shaped thing! ;) o
o pencils o
Not Pictured----
o a tsum, right now it's Prince Eric o
o my phone o
This is my bag. It's really big, which I am thankful for because I need it to be large for my sketchbook!:)
And another little personal doodad, my Sherlock Holmes key chain! One of my habits is to spin the inside circle around while I walk.;)
***
Well, I hope you liked seeing what I keep in my purse!:D
-Emma-
What thing do you not leave home without?:)

Bonus Picture-
I took this picture when I went out for a hike at sunset! I really liked this one, because the sun looks like one, single bokeh.;)

Really Figuring Out Appearances

Hi everyone!
A big part about your MC is their appearance. You may already know that your character has brown hair and freckles, but have you really figured out their appearance?

You are yourself. Yeah, duh, Emma. But wait, I have a point. As yourself, you know everything about yourself. You know how you bangs have that little curl at the edge even if your hair is incredibly straight and how there is always that one strand of hair that parts from your hair and falls down in front of your face.
You know you have that funny little freckle on the back of your shoulder and the mole that is on the back of your head. You know how your eyelashes are so long that they touch the glass on your glasses.
You know how you walk, how you talk, how you have things that aren't normal and that not a lot of people have.
I have moles and big dark freckles all over myself! I have some on my arms and on my back and on my knee and one on my palm and even one on the top of my foot. It is what makes me special and unique! So when you are coming up with your next character, really think about how they look.

Also, some people don't have standard hair and eye colors. Take me for example, I don't even know what my hair color is. I know it's a sort of blonde, but it has red and brown and together it almost looks greenish in certain lightings!
I have met people that have really cool eyes! They aren't only blue, but they are brown and green and have a ton of colors in their eyes! So be creative!:D

Think about what is different about you and your friends or family and maybe that can help you really figure out your character's appearances.:)

-Emma-
You don't always have to say that your character has these things, but it may help you to know exactly what they look like!:D

Fandom Drawings

HELLOOO! LOL!
I was going through some of my old drawings from a year or two ago and I stumbled across these!:D
From Left to Right-
The eleventh doctor from Doctor Who, Sherlock and John from Sherlock, and Rarity from My Little Pony!
This is (Gosh, I wanted to say a name, but I forgot that he doesn't have one.;P) the Eleventh Doctor! This drawing isn't very good, you can tell that his features are a bit cock eyed, but I thought that someone might like it.;)
This is Sherlock and John! I love Sherlock in this picture, but I can't say the same for John. His eyes are a little dark and weird! LOL!
And Rarity!! I really like this one! I can't wait for the next season of My Little Pony.;)

I hope you liked my fandom drawings!:)

What fandom are you in?:)
