Star Wars Genderbent Drawing Challenge!

Hullo!!!

Okay, if you don't know-- I am a huge YouTube addict.

So, I have a few drawing YouTube channels I follow and they always do fun challenges, and I have been feeling more and more like I want to do my own drawing challenges on my blog!

SO, I PRESENT TO YOU GENDER BENDING. XD

If you don't know what that is, it's when you take a character and swap their gender and imagine what they would be like! I decided to do this with The Force Awakens characters. :D

 The first character I did this with was Rey! This was my first time ever trying to do this, so not my favorite- but not bad either. :) It's actually pretty hard to figure out how to keep similar features of a girl and turn them into a guy.... I think it's easier changing a guy character into a girl character. ;D

Like Kylo Ren! This is my favorite character to bend and I really like how it turned out! I think it still captures the original features of Kylo Ren. :) I know a lot of people think genderbent things are weird, and it's a little weird even to me, but ultimately I think it's fun and cool! XD

And the final character I bent for this challenge was FINN! I think this one turned out really cool! I like what I did with her hair, it seems Finn like to me. :)

Which character was your favorite to see genderbent?

Drawing Challenge Day 18-30

Hi everyone!
I accidentally never posted the drawings of the last couple weeks, so this post is going to be drawing heavy...Let's get started! :D

 

Day 18-

The prompt was simply "happy", so this is Rusem happy! XD

 

Day 19-

Another one word prompt "sad"! Definitely not one of my favorite drawings...

 

Day 20-

"Surprised/Scared"

It was kind of weird to do this drawing, because I haven't ever really drawn this sort of emotion before, but I think it turned out okay! :)

 

Day 21-

One of my favorite drawings I've done in this challenge, even though I have no idea is the "doing a chore" one! I had lots of fun coloring it in, and I like the turn out a lot! :D

 

Day 22-

The challenge for this day was "running", which was truthfully very weird for me. I've never drawn a character running, and I had to look up references so that it wouldn't look really unnatural. XD

 

Day 23- 

Here's Rusem in a school uniform! This one was fun to do, because, once again- I haven't ever done a school uniform! (I'm sure learning all of the things I've never done before! XD)

 

Day 24- 

I also really like this drawing! The prompt was to draw my character with a pet or mount, and at first I was gonna try to draw one of those Star Wars wolves, but I didn't since that would have been a lot of detail and something I haven't ever attempted. So I went with a safer but still challenging (for me) route with a horse! :D

 

Day 25- 

"Using their power/weapon/doing what they do best"

Even though I didn't color this drawing in, I still really  like it! the wind effect adds something to the drawing I really like! Usually when I draw Rusem, I use her green outfit, but for this drawing I decided to go further down her timeline when she is a Jedi Padawan. :)

 

Day 26- 

For the "reading" prompt that they gave me, I put Rusem in my bean bag and gave her a pair of reading glasses. I love how the shading on the beanbag turned out. :)

 

Day 27- 

Here's Rusem playing a video game! I tweaked her outfit some, but, I mean, who ACTUALLY only has one outfit as their only choice? ;)

 

Day 28-

Even though I didn't really know what to do for the prompt "listening to music", because I didn't want it to be similar to the "reading" one, I eventually decided to go with something more dance-y! XD

 

Day 29- 

I had known what I was going to do for this day for a long time...

"Draw your character with you!"

Well...my character IS me...XD So I imagine it would go kind of weirdly since we would both be seeing someone who looks nearly exactly like the other. XD

Day 30!!!! 

The prompt was my choice, so I chose to draw Rusem in the air really excited, because that's how I feel about not having to draw her anymore! XD NO MORE RUSEM!!! YAYYYY!!! XD

 

Thank you guys for reading these posts, and I hope you enjoyed the challenge! I had a fun time even though I was super tired of drawing Rusem by the end of this! XD

Drawing Challenge Day 1-5

Hi everyone!
Hershey and I decided to do a drawing challenge for 30 days and so far it's been really fun! She decided to draw Sabine Wren from Star Wars Rebels as her character in the prompts, and I chose Rusem, who is me but Star Wars-ified. ;) If you read this post then you know who she is more in detail. :)

 

Day 1-

The prompt was a mini bio, and this is what I did! Although Rusem is me, she has some differences, like that she's 19 and 1 inch taller than me (BECAUSE THAT'S THE HEIGHT I HOPE TO BE BY THAT TIME). XD

 

Day 2-

This challenge was to draw your character eating their favorite food. So I drew Rusem eating blue milk cheesecake!! XD XD Cuz I love cheesecake and blue milk is already in Star Wars, so why not? ;) Doing this challenge has already made me realize what I don't draw often...:P

 

Day 3-

A color portrait! I was just like- Wait. I'VE BEEN DOING ALL OF THESE IN COLOR!!! XD But anyway, I did it again. ;)

I decided to go simple and not add any shading or anything, which is interesting since I always do a ton of shading and extra stuff! XD LOL!

 

Day 4-

They wanted me to draw my character cosplaying a favorite character of mine. I have a gazillion favorite characters, but I decided on Kylo Ren since I've already drawn myself cosplaying as Ahsoka (it'll probably by shown in a future post of drawings with me and Dee)

It was really fun to do Kylo's saber! It's so unstable and sparky! XD

 

Day 5-

This was the challenge for today, and my favorite challenge so far! A 15 minute sketch! Even though it was stressful, it was invigorating to try to crank out a really good drawing in such a short time slot. :D You never know how quickly 15 minutes go until you try to draw a complete drawing. O.O XD

 

I can't wait to continue doing this challenge! Have you ever tried to do something like this before? If not, I recommend it! It's nice to have something to do each day. :)

I'll continue to keep you tuned into how it's going, probably in 3 to 5 day segments!

My Most Recent Drawings!

HELLO!

I am back from camping, which went just fine! ;)
I've been drawing a lot lately, and even though I have been without a sketchbook for, like, a month- *cue gasping*

-I know, I know. I've still been drawing. Just on random pieces of paper.

*shudders*

 Here are all my latest drawings! I hope you like them! :D

A lot of these drawings will include Hershey- American Girl Doll Artist. She has joined the SSOD (Secret Society of Desserts) as well as almost all of her siblings. ;D This drawing is of us as My Little Ponies and our dessert selves! :) 

Another drawing of us three as Jedi! It didn't turn out how I had envisioned it, but I still think it's cool! :) 

More of us as Jedi! :D 

Hehe! Pirate versions of us three! I thought this one turned out super cool! I love Jaclynn's coat! 

This drawing has me and my apprentice, Hershey's younger brother, Jaclynn and Hershey, who is her new Padawan. I used to be Jaclynn's Padawan until she completely disowned me. -.-

AnonymousA said I should draw Dee and myself in Wonderland, so this is the product of it! I decided to use markers instead of colored pencils, and that was something new and fun to try! :)

This is Hershey's younger sister who also posts on Small Dolls in a Big World, Catlover02, AKA Taffy. She has so many names I can't keep track of them. XD XD But this is her as a Jedi! I think it turned out really cool! :)

Now we move on to random characters and stuff! I wanted to draw a hipster guy character, and this is what I got from it! I think it turned out pretty good. I'm still getting the hang of drawing guys and making them diverse. :)

Anyone call for a fairy godmother?

I've been really into the show Arrow, so I was inspired to draw an archer! I love how it turned out! :D

I hope you liked seeing these drawings! I'm thinking of trying to make more backgrounds for my drawings. Making characters is all good and well, but I've gotten a good hang of characters now, and I don't ever really try to make backgrounds. Even if they're simple like the one I did for the Padawan and master drawing with Hershey and Dee, it will make my pictures better, I think! :D

Kanan Jarrus - Infinity Figure Photoshoot

Hi everyone! :)

I know I haven't posted in a while, but don't worry, I'm not gonna stop blogging or anything, even though I've been  really bad at it lately...XD

Life is just really busy and tons of activities and stuff. I'm sure you can relate. ;)

I'm going camping soon and because of that, I want to upload all the pictures onto my computer so I have space to take more. I found these old photos of my Kanan figure and I thought I would show them to you! :) I hope you enjoy!

My Highlights of the Star Wars Rebels Season Opener

Hi everyone!
Can you guys even believe how long it's been since I've posted? I have just not been feeling the motivation. Meh.XD

But anywhoo, you know what is motivating?! STAR WARS REBELS! So, I thought I'd make a post about the highlights of the season opener- Steps into Shadow! They're in no specific order...;)

*SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS*
 

1. EZRA AND KANAN

MEHEHEHEHEHEHHEHE!!!

GUYUYUYUYUYUSSSSS!!! THEM. THEY. PLEASE. MORE.

The fight that they had was just so awesome, I loved it, and I want more. (Yes, I am very weird for wanting them to have more fights. Please don't judge me.XD) I just...you know, Kanan and Ezra are just such an awesome pair, and Ezra had grown up so much and *sniff*

Look at my little boy, growing up and getting ready to join the Dark Side. *sniff*

2. EZRA GETS PROMOTED TO LIEUTENANT

This was awesome? Was it not? Ezra has just grown up so much and NOW HE'S A LIEUTENANT! Oh, wait. Right. HE BLEW IT AND NOW HE ISN'T ANYMORE.XD But at least he'll work back to it.XD

 

3. THRAAAWWWN

K, so Thrawn wasn't really in this episode as much as he should be, but he is posing a serious threat to my precious little group of Rebels, so that's gonna be awesome. Yep. He's gonna tear apart the Rebels piece by piece, which is super duper cool.XD
 

4. EZRA'S EPIC AWESOMENESS OF ALL EPICNESS

So, this sort of ties into just how he's growing up, but HIS NEW MOVES ARE AWESOME! AND HIS LIGHTSABER!!!!! I love the green crystal, anyone else curious as to how he got it? Hm? HM? HMMMM????

 

5. KANAN GROWING DISTANT AND HIS "COUNCIL SESSION" WITH BENDU

Kanan. My favorite. My blind precious. He's having some issues. And I love it. He was growing distant from everyone, the Force included, and that is just so emotional and awesome, AGH! PLUS THE FACT THAT HE HAD THAT AMAZING COUNCIL SESSION WITH BENDU!XD Bendu is just awesome, plain and simple.;D I can't wait to see more of him!

6. ALL OF THE AWESOME NEW CHARACTER DESIGNS

No need to explain, right? I'm gonna though.
I JUST LOVE ALL OF THEM! Especially Kanan, HIS MASK! Some of them are pretty subtle, but I love how they're all a lot more uniform and less rugged.XD

Those are my highlights, and I can't wait for the future episodes! I CAN'T WAIT FOR MAUL!
Although I have super mixed emotions with him, he's pretty epic and I'm eager to see how he, Ezra, and Kanan interact, concerning what happened in season 2.XD So, yeah.;)
