Uh, hi everyone...?

This is so weird. 

I know I haven't posted on this blog in actually F-O-R-E-V-E-R, and I'm sorry for disappearing on you guys. I guess I've just fallen out of love with blogging.... and writing as well.

After NaNo (which I didn't win BTW), I really didn't want to write anymore and I don't enjoy it that much at this point in my life.

But don't be sad, cuz I really love art still and that's where my real passion is nowadays!

I know I mentioned this before on my blog, but I have an Instagram that is doing really well, and that's where I am most active! I would love it if you guys went and checked it out and could still interact with me there! :)

Just recently, I've FALLEN IN LOVE WITH SPIDER-MAN/TOM HOLLAND. XD So, there's been quite a lot of that on my IG. XD

I am so happy with this drawing of Sabrina Carpenter! She looks so pretty.

I also really love this drawing of Maddie and Mackenzie Ziegler. It took me so many tries to get right, but the finished product--- YES!!

An Internet friend asked me to draw Princess Mononoke, so I was like- okay. AND HERE IT IS! I'm really glad he asked me to, cuz the result is really nice! (And I love the background) XD

I've become fairly well known for my YouTuber drawings, so I draw them really often now! This is Mia Stammer. It was so fun to draw and I love the colors!! :D

Like I was saying earlier, I LOVE TOM HOLLAND. And as you guys ALREADY know, I LOVE THE DARK SIDE.

NaNo Week #2 - NIGHTFALL LAUNCH PARTY and other, less important things

Hi everyone!!
Can you believe we're already this far into November? I feel like I'm still at the beginning of October, but no we are ACTUALLY here and it's SOMEHOW BY THE GRACE OF GOD IS IT ACTUALLY COLD. O.O

Somehow. O.O

God knew. O.O XD XD XD

Last year it was all warm and gross, but now in California it's actually like in the 70's so we can wear normal clothing and sometimes sweaters! 

*dies of amazingness*

So, yeah! Let's get right into this awesome week of NaNo! :D

Day 5!

So, this day wasn't the best day...this always happens to me where I get ahead in my writing THEN TOTALLY DROP THE BALL AND DON'T WRITE LIKE I SHOULD. XD

But my goal was to write every single day, even if it was only a little bit, and considering the fact I had a church service to sing at (I had to go to the bathroom so badly during the service, and I was on stage, so I HAD TO LEAVE TO GO TO THE RESTROOM, AND I WAS SURE I WAS GOING TO BURST). I somehow got back in time to sing the last song we had to do, thankfully. O.O

Then after that I had a super long rehearsal for my church's Christmas tea, so I didn't get home until late. Plus I had (and still do have) a cold, so I was very unimpressive today. XD

Day 6!

I was still ahead at this point, so I only wrote some before I went to bed and somehow managed to write nearly 1k!

Although it wasn't my daily word count goal, I was kind of busy drawing this picture---

So, I guess it was pretty productive. :)

A COMPLETE WEEK OF NANO AND HOW DO I CELEBRATE??? By not writing a single word, but let me explain why, my friend...

NIGHTFALL WAS RELEASED!!!! And like every year, we went to the launch party!

Let me share with you some pictures of the experience!

 THERE'S SHANNON! Ugh, there's nothing more inspiring than hearing an author talk about their writing experiences and what's happened for them to get where they are now! 

We played this fun game of if we thought Shannon was lying or telling the truth, and because of it I learned some fun things...

*Sophie's original name was Agnus McWeeney*

*Fitz was the first character created*

*Keeper of the Lost Cities was originally made as a short story*

*The name given to KotLC by Shannon was Chasing Everblaze*

*Shannon had intentions to kill Sandor in the first book he was in*

VERY INTERESTING, RIGHT. I really loved hearing about it all, even though I knew some stuff from the first couple times going. :)

And then a selfie of Kendra and I waiting for Shannon to show up. Sorry it's a bit blurry, I couldn't get a very decent picture. I guess I was shaking... XD

By the time I got home and was about to write something for NaNo....

It was midnight. O.o

So, I was like- WHATEVER. IT'S A NEW DAY SO IT DOESN'T MATTER ANYWAY.

Day 8!

The day after, I was really reading a lot, although not as much as I wanted to, because I was thinking- I NEED TO WRITE. SO I WILL WRITE.

Or more like, not write, not read, and not do anything worth my time, so the whole day was basically ruined, and I should have just read Keeper while I had the opportunity. O.O

Day 9!

AND I WROTE DOWN NOTES FOR THIS POST TO PUT IN SO YOU KNOW IT'S GONNA BE GOOD.

"I reached 25% done! Me, being the most easily scared human being on the earth, nearly jumped out of my seat when the trumpets pumped through the speakers while I was writing. #scaredy-cat #heartwasracing XD XD XD XD"

"ALSO. WHY ZACK. WHY DID YOU HAVE TO GO AGAINST MY PLOT POINTS AND DO SOMETHING CRAZY STUPID NOW THINGS ARE DIFFERENT THAN I PLANNED. STOP TALKING TO PEOPLE. (Be like me and be a hermit then it'll be easier okie.)"

Wow, okay. XD

But this day was pretty awesome for writing! I got a lot done, regardless of Zack, my MC, going off and talking to his father and making me panic. -.-

I don't remember everything that happened cuz it was just another day at home...BUT IT WAS GOOD REGARDLESS AND I WROTE A LOT. XD It felt like a Saturday cuz Kendra and I just watched My Little Pony all morning and I slept in late... XD

So, this happened today--

If you don't know what Zevelyn is, it's the ship of my character and Jaclynn's character and IT'S OUT OF CONTROL HALP.

So, I drew them. Again. Even though I thought that they were over. And really, now they are. O.O BUT THE SHIP STILL LIVES ON. 

Altogether now, I have reached 19,079 words and am getting super close to the halfway point!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!

So, yeah. That has been today and now I'm off to make sundaes with my mom and binge watch TV. XD

Hi everyone!!

I thought it was about time to do a drawing post since I haven't really done an official one since I came back posting more. ;)
 So what would be a better group of drawings than the ones that are FREN related! The "FRENS" are Jaclynn and my friends in Kansas- you probably know some of them from other posts and the page I made describing who they are and stuff. ;) IF YOU HAVEN'T GO READ IT AND THIS WILL BE LESS CONFUSING. Maybe. XD

AGH! I decided to start this post of with a bang and show you guys one of my all time favorite FREN drawings- if not one of my favorite drawings--- period. ;D

It's me, Dee, and Hershey dressed super fancy for a masquerade!!!!

Another FREN drawing I really like! Some of the FRENS don't look as great as I wish, but others are like PERRRFFF!!! XD

Now this drawing took me a few nights accomplish!! All the complex shading and figuring out how to fit TEN PEOPLE in one drawing! That's always difficult to manage. O.O

I posted this drawing of me as a Sith on Instagram and it's my second most popular post! After finishing it, I realized I had to do more FRENS in this style!

This drawing was so fun to do! Me, Dee, and Hershey as elements! I assume you can figure out who is who. ;) 

BUT THIS DRAWING IS PRETTY EPIC. XD

This drawing was pretty fast and easy, but I think it's so cute! It's us carving pumpkins- unless you're like Jaclynn and paints her pumpkin. ;D

The final drawing! I'm not sure how to describe this, but it's obvious it's very fall-y. :D

I hope you enjoyed looking at a ton of the FRENSHIP drawings I've done! I've made so many, it's insane. O.O I'm usually drawing just Hershey, Dee, and I at the moment- it's fun to do more best FREN drawings. ;D

Now...to go try to prep for NaNo and stop procrastinating. Hm.

Recreating... #6

Hi everyone! :D

I haven't made a recreation post in a while, and I always like to do these for my own personal enjoyment, so here is the latest one! :)

This is the drawing I found that I thought would be fun to redo. As you can see, this character has a serious bobble head, and just...ugh. No. O.O I made this in 2013 or early 2014 after Frozen. I obviously took lots of inspiration from Elsa, who I was OBSESSED with at the time. ;D

I immediately started working on it, wondering how I could get less of an Elsa feel from it...but ultimately stuck to the original idea pretty much. :)

I was watching Rogue One while doing this drawing. Not my favorite Star Wars movie, but I wanted to watch it, soooo... ;)

AND FINALLY THE FINISHED PROJECT! I think it looks so much better than the original! I like her hair more, her face more, and the details on her dress more. Just...everything. XD I decided to add a bit more of a background, even though I really can't do those well. ;)

The before and after! So much progress in my art in just a few years! And I am so happy I have good coloring pencils, they make such a difference! :D

Updates in the Life of Meeeee!

Hi everyone!
Long time no post, am I right? 

I'm really sorry that I've left all of you hanging for so long, my blogging game has been lacking so hard lately. But it only seems fair that since I've been gone for a couple months with only a silly Truth or Dare post during my hiatus, to give an update post about what's been going on for me!
SO LET'S GET STRAIGHT INTO THIS EXCITING POST THAT WILL CATCH YOU ALL UP. :D

ART!!!

I've been drawing as usual and a lot! Today I actually got new pens, which I'm super excited about! 

Let me show you some of my favorite pieces I've done since I took a break from blogging. :)

One piece of news I've been meaning to share with my blogging friends is (this is probably a reason I don't post as much as I should) is that I now have an art Instagram! I post my art there and this drawing got the most likes out of all of them! If you'd like to follow me, my username is i_emma_artist 

 You all know how obsessed I am with both Star Wars and Keeper of the Lost Cities, so one day I decided to merge the two together and create- JEDI SOPHIE!!!

Also...JACLYNN HAS STARTED READING KEEPER YESSSS!!

I know I have a lot of American Girl doll lovers, and my friend Hershey inspired me to draw on of the AG characters- Maryellen! This is how it turned out. :)

 This drawing is a hard thing to explain...um....unicorn....onesies....with best friends?

Yeah. Um...Yeah. :)

 

Something I've been interested in trying out more is "stealing" other people's styles of drawing! For this drawing, I decided to borrow Galactibun's style to draw Hershey, Dee, and I! I think this drawing is super adorable, but SOMEONE doesn't like it at all...

 FRENSHIP!!! This drawing is of all Hershey's siblings (the FRENS) and Jaclynn and I at Disneyland in line for Thunder Mountain! I love how this turned out, it's one of my favorite FREN drawings so far!

 And my current WIP, Loki! I got new pens (as stated earlier) so I am READY to pen him in! YEAH! GET IT! WHOOOO!!!

WRITING!!!

I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO WRITE AT ALL LATELY. HELP.
But NaNo is approaching and I have no idea what's gonna happen. HALP. XD

LIFE!!!!
Lots of things happen within a few months, but I'm going to talk mainly about things that I can show pictures for. ;)

HERSHEY CAME DOWN TO CALIFORNIA TO SURPRISE ME AND DEE! It was the best day ever, I was shaking and crying and I JUST NEED HER TO COME BACK. XD

I went to a lake to go boating with my oldest sister and brother-in-law, which I've never done before...AND THEN IT STARTED TO DOWNPOUR ON THE LAKE! It was hilarious and crazy and we were all wet! It was definitely a day to remember. XD

 

Me and my mom have started eating healthy! We are on our third week of eating no gluten, dairy, or sugar! I feel like my skin has started to clear up and I'm less tired now! Plus, I'm exercising more regularly, so I feel pretty good about that all. :) I HIGHLY RECOMMEND EATING HEALTHY. XD XD

Last night my family and I went down to the beach for sunset. It was all hazy, but the sunset was still super pretty! We got wetter than we were expecting. ;)

 

During the month of August my goal is to read as many books as possible! So far I've read one, but I plan to read as much as I can tonight, maybe even get two books done by tomorrow...:)

 

 

FANDOMS!!!My fandom life has been a hot spot lately! I've joined two new fandoms I believe!

The first fandom I've joined is Hamilton!! It's a Broadway musical and OH MY WORD it is so good!! I LOVEEEE! It has a lot of swearing in it, so I recommend if you want to listen to it, go on YouTube and look up the clean versions of the songs where they cut out bad words. IT'S A LIFE SAVERRRR! XD

In return for Jaclynn reading Keeper I would watch Once Upon A Time! I love the series!! It's so awesome, I'm on the second season and I can't wait to watch more! This drawing is of Rumplestiltskin!

Recreating #5

Hi everyone!
Like I said in my last post, I was going to look into making another recreation- AND I DID!

Look at me being all productive and stuff. :)

This is the drawing I decided to redo! It's of me and Hallee, my black poodle. :) I did it when I was around eleven, so nearly five years ago!

Working on the new drawing after the first sketch was laid down to my liking. :)

I've been sort of on a 'going outside' kick, so I went outside and continued working on it. It was really fun. ;)

And now... the final product!!

I've never tried to do sun flares on a drawing, and because of that, it didn't turn out very well...XD But I still really like the new drawing! I didn't use a picture to help make Hallee look like her until after I drew all of her and then made adjustments, so she doesn't look as similar to my actual dog as I would like... BUT ANYWHOO!!

It's definitely an improvement! I already have another drawing I want to recreate, so there should be another one of these coming up soon! :D

It's sort of a struggle to come up with new titles to make more art posts sound different than others...XD I can't just keep labeling them- Recent Drawing #30029! XD

But, that's what I'm here to show you, guys! I've been in a slump with practically everything but drawing (even though I think I'm finally getting on top of my blogging game again!), so I've had to draw a boatload to get me through this hobby slump. XD

(No, but seriously. I don't want to write- I think I'm getting out of this one slowly, too, I don't want to read, I don't want to blog, I don't wannaaaaa)

Morgana from Merlin! This was so much fun to draw! Her hair is so crazy and wild and her face is so angular and awesome, and the angle I was drawing her was different for me. :)

Another thing that was cool about drawing this was that I realized I rarely draw really smiley peeps, so this was different and fun! :)

Now moving out of Merlin (which y'all have to watch so I can die and cry and scream with you) and onto Star Wars Rebels!

Even though she's not totally accurate to her Rebels self, I had a lot of fun drawing her! Sometimes it's more fun to just draw and not be so perfectionistic. :)

As I've mentioned a couple times before, The SSOD is The Secret Society of Desserts that Dee and I started has new members! These are all of them from left to right-

Taffy, Fudge, Cobbler, Churo, Dee, Cookie (me), Gummi (gummy bear), Nilla (nilla wafer), Twix, and Hershey!
It's super exciting to have these new members. :)

Moving onto random characters I've created! This is just a very cartoony girl I did when I realized I didn't do many overly happy people. ;)

While we are talking about trying new things, I've been wanting to try some different pens and stuff for drawerings, so I used Sharpie for this one (not what I had in mind, but whatever. XD) and didn't totally hate how it turned out. :)

It was really fun to try a sitting position paired with the really pretty dress. :D
