It's That Wonderful Time Again... Sketchbook Favorites!

Hi everyone!
A while back, I finished a whole sketchbook again!XD I really whizzed through it, and I'm here to share my favorite drawings in it today!:)
Some of these you have seen before, while others are completely new!:D

Let's get right on in it...
1. AHSOKAAAAA!
Ahsoka is just amazing, and I loved this picture and had so much fun drawing it, so she's my "favorite of the favorites" for this sketchbook.;)
2. AHSOKAAAAAAA!!XDI love this drawing, all of the shading took me forever, but I love how it turned out! Ahsoka is so pretty! *squeal*
3. LAST AHSOKAAA!!XD XD
As I said the first time I showcased this drawing of Ahsoka, I really love how I got Ahsoka's face shape done! It looks just like her in my opinion!:) WHOO HOO!XD
4. Clone Wars Obi-Wan!
I'm pretty sure I already featured this drawing, but I knew he had to be in this round up. HIS SHADING TOOK ME FOREVER...XD I just love Obi...:) (I also have a realistic drawing of Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan coming up soon!:D)
5. Old Han and Leia...:) :( :) :( :)
*sniff* *smile* *crying* *laughing*
This drawing I don't believe I've shown before, and it took me SO long to do. At least now Jaclynn will be off of my back and not yelling at me to draw Han and Leia anymore...;D
6. Akina Aber!
My Togruta girl I made... I LOVE HER!XD She had to be in this post, so here she is.;)
7. American Girl Doll Artist as a Jedi!
If any of you are American Girl blogger peeps, then you'll probably know who AGDA is, but in case not- she's a really awesome AG blogger.;) Jaclynn and I have gotten to know her a lot more recently, so I had to make a drawing of her as a Jedi ('specially since she's a huge Star Wars fan like me and Jaclynn.;D)
We have even become tight enough that she has joined the secret dessert society Jaclynn and I have created and has taken on the dessert of being a HERSHEY CHOCOLATE BAR!XD Yes, her name is Hershey.;)
8. Yogurtland me and Jaclynn!
I love this drawing...;)
9. JACALYNA BONTERI! (yet another nickname I have for Jaclynn...Shhhh...She doesn't know what it even means, so no one tell her in case you know....;D)
Longest title ever...;) But this drawing I did based off of an Ahsoka pose!:)
10. THIS RANDOM GIRL!XD
I think it might just be her hair, but I absolutely love this drawing! Maybe it's the pose, too. Or her pointy nose...XD

I hope you enjoyed seeing my sketchbook favorites and getting to see some new drawings as well.:)

Star Wars ComLINKS - Clone Troopers and Rex

Hi everyone!
I had so much fun doing last month's Star Wars ComLINKS that I decided to try doing all of the ones from now on.;)
(via)
This month's topic is "Favorite Trooper"!
I had a bit of a hard time trying to decide which kind of trooper was my favorite...when it hit me!
Clone troopers are by far my favorite kind! Something about the awesome design of their helmets and the way a lot of the armor is customized to the clone is just so cool! Like, I can't explain why I love it so much!
But although I love all the clones, my favorite in particular is Captain Rex! His helmet's artwork is simple yet totally perfect for him, and him in general is awesome! I love the special "accessories" to his armor, like the shoulder pad and hip pads (or whatever.;P). I loved getting to see him again in Rebels with Ahsoka.
*sigh*
So, yeah. He's my favorite.XD

I hope you guys liked reading about which kind of trooper is my favorite. If you want to join in the Star Wars ComLINKS fun- you really should -you can go to Jen's fabulous blog here and check it out!:D

It's That Time Again! - Sketchbook Favorites

Hi everyone!
First off, can you believe that I haven't posted on here in some crazy amount of time, like a week or something?? I can't, but I think I know why...

I literally can't draw anything other than Ahsoka.

It's getting to be where I'm embarrassed at how she's practically the only thing I've drawn lately. I don't want to bore you all, so I've lacked posts that don't involve her in them.XD

Anyway, I finally finished my sketchbook, it took me since February and I was shocked to see my first drawing in the sketchbook- that drawing seemed like forever ago! But it's only been around for four months! Wow! Here are my top favorites from this sketchbook, some of which you haven't seen before (a lot you have though!;))!:D

1-
My most recent Kylo Ren drawing!
I love how this turned out, and I think it might be one of my best drawings, so it had to be my number one favorite drawing of this sketchbook!
2-
This drawing of Ahsoka is one of my proudest drawings I've done. It was super fun to do only with pencil, even though I'm sort of dying to know how it would look like with color.;)
3-
Hehe, another drawing of Ahsoka, but adult Ahsoka! You guys just recently saw this one, but I love it so much, it had to show up for this post.:) I feel like the colors turned out perfectly, and I think she looks so realistic!:)
4-
I think I've been improving with the profile angle of faces. Before, they used to be cumbersome and annoying, but now I love doing them!:)
5-
This drawing of me and my sister as Star Wars characters!;) I have always really loved this picture, but now I'm realizing how awkward my sister's lightsaber is, it should be way longer! LOL!
6-
My first drawing of Ahsoka, but the last one in this post!;) I'm noticing that Ahsoka's boots never changed when her outfits did...
7-
Judy and Nick!
Nick has to be my favorite character in this drawing! With his eyelids, which were so fun to draw, and his adorable snout, I couldn't leave him out of the post!
8-
I had so much fun drawing this picture of me as a Star Wars character, who happens to be a Jedi Padawan. I love my orange lightsaber!OuO
9-
I drew this picture for Jaclynn because she wants a purple lightsaber, but in the story I'm making of us (we're in the Star Wars universe) I gave her a blue lightsaber. To keep her happy, I'm going to give her a cameo where she fights with a purple lightsaber, which I then illustrated. I really liked the drawing.;)

I hope you guys enjoyed seeing what drawings of mine are my favorites!
I always really like making these posts, although I feel awkward saying "I love this drawing" because I don't want to sound prideful and boastful.;P I hope it doesn't come off that way.:)

I have a tutorial for how to draw hands coming up, so stay tuned for that!:)

Why Your Characters Are So Important

Hi everyone!:)
As I was watching a few of The Clone Wars episodes with my brother and sister, I was trying to figure out why I was so not interested in this certain story that they were telling. The plot was pretty good, it was about these droids and a frog-like guy that were trying to find an encryption module on a Separatist ship and everything that transpired because of that mission.
Yet I was not liking it one bit.
I was dying to skip the next few episodes where it was over, and so were my brother and sister. When we sat down to watch Clone Wars, we felt like we were wasting our time on the most boring story ever.
I don't usually touch my phone when I'm watching Clone Wars, but I couldn't put it down when I was watching these episodes. I had to consciously tell myself to focus.XD
You get the gravity of the situation now.
But as I watched it, I asked myself why I wasn't liking it. If Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka, for example, were the ones on the mission, then I would have loved it.
Then it hit me.
I didn't like the characters at all.
The frog guy was annoying, the droids had no personality (except R2-D2), and that was what was making me, if not my brother and sister, so bored. The plot was decent, but the characters were boring. I didn't connect.
That got me thinking about just how important characters are to your story, maybe even more so than the plot, dare I say it. The plot obviously needs to be good, too, but your characters are what really make or break the story. If your character is bland, who in the world would want to read your story? If your story is lacking, maybe it's time to reevaluate your characters and make some hard choices.:)
That's just something to think about when you're writing.:)

I'm an amateur writer and I don't know that much about character creating and stuff, but I've been learning and thinking and I believe that the bulk of your character comes from their past, their back story. So, if you want your character to be better, coming up with a back story for them (if you don't have one already) could be the next step.
People's pasts are truly what makes them who they are. How they were treated as kids can make them react in certain ways as teenagers or adults. Pick up a pen and paper and figure out your character's back story. I think it will be worth your while.:)

If you're looking for an awesome blog with writing advice that is clean and will help and inspire you to write and become an author, I would highly recommend this site- Go Teen Writers
It's amazing and has inspired me to write SO much!

Star Wars Rebels Drawing

Hey everyone!:)
I was reminded today that I have this drawing I did a while ago to show you all!
It's a drawing of the poster for Star Wars Rebels, one of my favorite TV shows!:) It follows the story of Ezra Bridgers and a group of rebels and their fight against the Empire.:) It's set in the time between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. A young Princess Leia has even been in a newer episode!:D
But anyway, here is the drawing I did-
Top to Bottom, Left to Right-
Darth Vader
Zeb, Ahsoka, Kanan
Chopper, Hera, Ezra
Sabine didn't end up making the drawing, although she is apart of the poster.:)
I really love this drawing and I think Ahsoka looks so cool (she is so fun to draw!)! She is probably one of my favorite characters, especially now that I am watching The Clone Wars, another TV show about Anakin and Ahsoka, his padawan, and a ton of other classic Star Wars characters.:)

I hope you liked the drawing, have you ever watched Star Wars Rebels or The Clone Wars?:)
